Credit Union Deposit Guarantee Corporation believes that proactive interaction with credit unions is essential to the strength and stability of credit unions – this reduces risk to depositors’ funds.
To ensure credit unions provide an effective local level of deposit protection, the Corporation works closely with credit union boards, executives and employees, relying on their skills and experience.
The Corporation works with credit unions to identify issues at an early stage and continues to work with them to proactively address these issues.
The Corporation invests in preventive initiatives such as training opportunities for credit union decision makers. These training opportunities enhance their ability to protect deposits at the credit union level.
